Abstract
Localized pulmonary edema in the right upper lobe has usually been reported in patients
with mitral incompetence. Cardiac myxomas that involve the left atrium can cause elevated
filling pressure with resultant bilateral or symmetric pulmonary edema. To our knowledge,
however, a case of localized pulmonary edema associated with cardiac myxoma has not
previously been reported in the literature. We present a case of localized pulmonary
edema in the right upper lobe associated with left atrial myxoma.
